The Port of Bergen is an inter-municipal company which consists of its member municipalities of Askøy, Austrheim, Bergen, Fedje, Fjell, Lindås, Meland, Os, Radøy, Sund, Øygarden and Hordaland county municipality. Bergen og Omland havensesen company is managed by a harbour council and a harbour board.
The company coordinates all public harbour operations within the cooperation area, through a developmental process consisting of several stages. It also plans, builds, operates and maintains all public traffic port facilities within the harbour area.
