Car Shipping - Customs Clearance

Vehicles conveyed by natural entities across RF frontier are subject to customs clearance by presenting a customs declaration to a customs body. Together with a customs declaration transportation and shipping documents as well as documents essential for the customs clearance and customs control should be presented. According to RF SCC Order 507 of September 9, 1994 the customs bodies issue the vehicle importation certificate for its registration in the departments of State Inspection of Traffic Safety of RF Ministry of Internal Affairs (RF MIA). An authorized official of the customs body issues two copies of the certificate, one copy is given to the owner of the vehicle and the second copy is kept in the customs body according to the rules of financial records keeping. The certificate is stamped with official stamp of the customs body of issuance.

Transportation passport (TP) or transportation chassis passport (TSP) is issued by the customs bodies to the vehicles passed the customs clearance. The procedure of TP and TSP issuance is stipulated in the Resolution on TP and TSP and approved by RF MIA, RF SCC and RF Gosstandart Order 399/388/195.
Places of customs clearance.

Since February 21, 2000 the customs clearance of motor transportation facilities imported by natural entities in Moscow region (excepting cars imported by air transport) will be effected in the following departments of customs clearance and customs control (??? ? ??) of the customs post "Autotransportny" of Moscow Western Customs (MWC):
1. ??? and ?? 1 of the customs post "Autotransportny" of MWC. Address: Moscow, Bolshaya Ochakovskaya, 47, "Transport company "Ochakovo" Ltd.;
2. ??? and ?? 2, of the customs post "Autotransportny" of MWC. Address: Moscow region, Lubertsy, settlement Kotelniki-1, Novoryazanskoye shosse, 6 "Consorcium" Ltd. of the companies "Auto garant";
3. Customs clearance of motor transport facilities temporary imported to RF by natural entities is effected at the place of their temporary registration in Zelenogradskaya, Noginskaya, Odintsovskaya, Zhukovskaya and Moscow Western Customs;
4. Customs clearance of motor transport facilities of diplomatic and similar representations, foreign companies representations, banks, organizations, mass media as well as their employees accredited in RF is effected in ??? ? ?? 5 of the customs post "Butovo" of MWC. Address: Moscow, 6th Radialnaya str., 2.
